Bauch, die 1. :-)

Heute haben wir Ashs Bauch rasiert, damit die Welpen keine Probleme haben, eine Zitze zu finden. Ash ist nämlich gerade dabei, wieder richtig aufzuhaaren und da hätten die Zwerge schon ihre liebe Not. Man kann gut sehen, dass die werdende Mama langsam einen Bauch bekommt und sich auch das Gesäuge bereits ausbildet. Leider kann man nicht ganz so gut erkennen, dass ihre Zitzen wirklich leuchtend pink sind. SEHR niedlich./Today we shaved Ash's belly, so the puppies won't have problems reaching the teats. Ash has just started to regrow her coat, so it would be hard for the little ones. You can see, that the mom-to-be slowly gets a belly and develops teats. Unfortunatly you can't see very good that her teats are really shiny pink. VERY cute.

Wurfplanung

Die Wurfplanung für nächstes Jahr hat Form angenommen und ist jetzt unter o.g. Link zu sehen. Und jetzt ist erstmal eine große Entschuldigung angesagt: Jan, es tut mir leid. Ich habe Thijs' BH nicht vergessen und ich nehme sie auch nicht für selbstverständlich, aber es ist so viel passiert in letzter Zeit, dass ich schlicht vergessen habe, sie zu veröffentlichen. Jan und Thijs haben am 17.10. gemeinsam die BH bestanden. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Ihr zwei!!/The breeding plans for next year are taking shape and can be viewed under above link. And now a huge apology is due: Jan, I'm sorry. I haven't forgotten about Thijs' BH and I don't take it for granted, but so much happened in the last few weeks, that I've simply forgotten to publish it. Jan and Thijs passed their Begleithundeprüfung on the 17th October. Congratulations, you two!!

YES, they can!

Wir (Ramona und ich) kommen gerade vom Ultraschall und die beiden Jungfrauen haben es geschafft: Ash ist trächtig. Gezählt haben wir nicht, aber wir haben mind. 5 Fruchtblasen problemlos gesehen. Wir erwarten also um den 14.12.09 den Lower Saxon B-Wurf. /We (Ramona and I) are just back from the ultrasound and the two virgins have managed it: Ash is in whelp. We didn't count but we could easily see at least 5 amniotic sacks. So we expect the Lower Saxon B-litter around the 14th December.

Hormone

Ich finde es wirklich faszinierend, was Hormone so alles bewirken können: meine ansonsten eher verrückte Ash, die kaum Zeit hat, sich mal schnell eine Schmuseeinheit abzuholen, ist mega-anhänglich und hat Schwierigkeiten, überhaupt mal vom Schoß runter zu klettern ;-) Wollen wir hoffen, dass es ein gutes Zeichen ist!/I find it fascinating how hormones work: my usually pretty mad Ash, who hardly has time to pick up some cuddles, is mega clingy and has difficulties to move herself from my lap :-) Let's hope that this is a good sign!

Was gibts neues?

Wir kommen gerade vom Tierarzt zurück: der bakteriologische Abstrich bei Ash war "ohne Befund" und sie hat ihre erste Herpes-Impfung bekommen. Jetzt kann es also los gehen ;-)/ We just got back from the vet: the bacteriological smear came back "nad" und she got her first herpes vaccination. So we can proceed now ;-)
